Welcome
To
The Southern
California Autism Training Collaborative Website
Founded in 1999, SCATC is a
collaborative of educators who are interested in coordinating autism
training opportunities in Southern California.
Our goals include:
1. To provide equitable access to high demand, national training
programs on the topic of
autism.
2. Gathering and disseminating information regarding teacher competencies,
best practices in service delivery models and accountability systems,
and collaboration with local institutes of higher learning.
SCATC addresses the needs of school districts as far north as San Luis
Obispo, Kern, and Mono Counties, south to San Diego and Imperial
Counties and everything in between. It collaborates with CSPDAC
(Comprehensive System of Personnel Development Advisory Committee)
Regional Coordinating Councils 8, 9, 10 and 11.
HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED?
SCATC
is organized by a committee of educators, which includes representatives
from each of the four Coordinating Councils and other leaders from
around Southern California. The committee meets regularly to organize
and coordinate SCATC activities. The meetings are open to any interested
people.
